The DJI Avata 2 is a high-agility First-Person View FPV drone featuring integrated propeller guards and a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor. Optimized for interior inspection and flight in confined industrial spaces, it provides immersive high-speed control and elite collision resilience.
The DJI Avata 2 represents the specialized solution for interior and close-quarters industrial inspection. Unlike traditional drones that are vulnerable to minor impacts, the Avata 2 is built with a Cinewhoop style duct design where the propellers are fully enclosed in high-strength guards. This mechanical highlight allows the drone to bounce off walls, pipes, or structural beams and continue flying making it the primary tool for inspecting the interiors of storage tanks, boiler rooms, and complex factory attics. The Avata 2 features a 1/1.3-inch CMOS super-wide-angle camera capable of 4K/60fps providing the high-dynamic range needed to see details in poorly lit industrial environments. A major technical innovation is the Turtle Mode. If the drone lands upside down after a collision it can autonomously flip itself back over and take off again preventing expensive losses in inaccessible areas. The drone is controlled via the DJI Goggles 3 and Motion Controller 3 providing the operator with an immersive intuitive head-tracking view that is essential for navigating through tight gaps.
