The DJI Dock 2 is a high-performance autonomous drone station featuring a compact IP55-rated weather-proof design. Engineered for Lights-Out operations it automates the take-off, landing, and rapid charging of Matrice 3D/3TD drones for 24/7 remote site monitoring.
The DJI Dock 2 represents the future of persistent aerial surveillance and automated facility inspection. This second-generation drone-in-a-box system is 75 percent smaller and 68 percent lighter than its predecessor allowing for easier deployment on rooftops or remote industrial sites. The Dock 2 is designed to house and manage the specialized Matrice 3D or 3TD aircraft. Its core function is to provide a weather-proof home for the drone where it can autonomously take off to perform pre-programmed missions and return for automated high-speed charging. The Dock 2 features an IP55 rating ensuring reliability in rain, snow, and dust and includes an integrated weather station to monitor local wind speed and rainfall before authorizing flight. A major technical highlight is the system rapid charging capability charging the drone from 20 percent to 90 percent in just 32 minutes minimizing the down-time between patrol cycles. Controlled via DJI FlightHub 2 the Dock 2 allows operators thousands of miles away to monitor live feeds and manage flight paths via the cloud.
