The Skydio X2E is the high-autonomy solution for public safety and structural inspection. Featuring a 4K60 visual camera, a FLIR thermal sensor, and the Skydio Autonomy Engine, it enables fire departments and industrial inspectors to capture data in complex obstacle-rich environments with zero risk of collision.
The Skydio X2E represents the commercial evolution of Skydio tactical technology optimized for the needs of first responders and infrastructure engineers. Designed as a ruggedized rapid-deployment tool the X2E leverages onboard artificial intelligence to remove the burden of manual flight. The aircraft utilizes six navigation cameras to build a real-time 3D model of its surroundings allowing it to navigate within inches of power lines, cell towers, and building facades without the pilot needing to worry about crashes. The primary sensor suite includes a 4K60 HDR color camera and a 320x256 FLIR Boson thermal sensor providing a comprehensive data set for both visual and thermographic inspections. A major technical highlight is the integration with Skydio 3D Scan which automates the capture process for generating ultra-high-resolution digital twins of complex structures. The X2E is built with an IP54 rating ensuring that critical inspections can proceed in dusty or light-rain conditions. For data integrity the system features AES-256 encryption and a localized offline-only mode to ensure that sensitive inspection data never leaves the device unless intended.
